Episode 3-1Edit

Season 3 Episode 1: Return (1)

Leez, appearing a few years older than when she and Yuta left together from the human realm,[1] fights off several attacks by various suras (Chaos and Garuda suras, among others) using transcendentals from the Sword of Return. She recalls Yuta's words to kill them quickly before they open their eyes, and that they only want to destroy her name. As she observes a crack that just formed in her bracelet, another sura approaches from behind, only to be dispatched by Kasak in sura form. He tells her to hop on quickly, and she notices that the half-dragon got out without Yuta. Leez wants to go back to get him, but Kasak insists that they must make it through the gate before it closes. Leez argues with him, then recalls Yuta telling her that he never loved her and that she must leave. She then agrees to go, telling the half-dragon to conserve his vigor since she will stop anyone blocking their way. He tells her he can manage his vigor just fine as they both head through the gate.

Episode 3-2Edit

Season 3 Episode 2: Return (2)

On a remote island, a pair of "brave individuals" watches as a giant sura approaches them from the sea. They complain about being paid only 100 gold for the job, though one points out that they can profit from the carcass, because the clan it belongs to is unidentifiable so it will fetch a high price for research. Ran tells them that their lives are worth nothing to the client before he fires the now-modified Neutral Bow at the sura.

At Mistyshore's Department of Divine Magic, Rana meets with Eline in an attempt to get her to become a sitter for her daughter so that she can return to work as a professor. Eline declines, stating that she still works as the dean of the department, plus she cannot stand the sound of crying children. She tells Rana to persuade Ran to return to the priest position so that her husband (and Ran's uncle) Huan can retire and become the babysitter. Rana responds that Ran gave up the job a long time ago because it was too much for him. Eline tells her that it will be the only way to solve her childcare problem.

At a busy beach, Agwen tells Shess how happy she is to be finally living in Mistyshore. He asks her (via tablet) if she is fine with not living in Atera anymore, and she replies that she is okay since there are many priest candidates there now, and the branch president of the Magicians Guild has changed. She is, however, still worried about Brilith. Shess then asks Agwen if she plans to start dating, since he has never seen her date anyone. She replies that she could if she met a good person, and coldly adds that she no longer has a dad who would kill her lover.[2]

Out in the water, a set of twin boys introduce themselves to Leny as Ten and Kan. A giant wave suddenly heads towards shore. Shess saves Leny, who protests that there were two other kids with her.

Episode 3-4Edit

Season 3 Episode 4: Return (4)

Shess, still carrying the twins, notices that these suras are simply wearing Gandharva clan shells, with their real bodies inside. As the twins argue over who is stronger—the guy carrying them or their dad—Shess is alarmed when he sees the creature opening a red eye, and stomps out the eye. Ran suddenly appears via teleportation, tells the kids that Dad will save them, realizes that he is standing on the tongue of a sura, and casts bhavati varuna to freeze it. He freezes his own legs as well. As the kids mock their dad's magic abilities, Shess recognizes him from a photo Agwen once showed him, and wonders how this guy could be the #3-ranked genius magician.

The kids taunt Ran for not calculating and threaten to tell their mom; Ran panics and denies it. He notices that the ice is starting to melt, so he casts hoti brahma to create a boat underneath Shess, then hoti varuna to speed the boat away. His next spell activates moments before he actually voices the spell hoti indra bhavati varuna. Shess is impressed with Ran's power and skill, but also noticed that Ran's spell also hit himself. Ran crouches on top of the sura carcass, clothes now in tatters, and falls forward into the ocean.

Ran wakes up in his own bedroom only to be scolded by Rana. She then hands him a document to sign, which states that he will become the Priest of Water until the time Rim Sairofe enters Kindergarten. Ran asks why the time frame is so specific. Rana tells him about her conversation with Eline[3] and her desire to return to work. She explains that she was ready to become a professor again after the first three children started school, and admits that having an unexpected fourth child had caused her resentment. Ran tells her that since she put it that way, he will take the priest position.

As Chandra sits in a bath of red water in a dark room, Laila informs him that Ran has contacted her. The god asks if he finished the job yet, because he has another job for him. She replies that there will not be another job because Ran is now a priest who will be restricted to the Temple of Water, so he will have to find someone else to run around and do his errands. Chandra seems annoyed by the news and begins to transform to his dark form.

Episode 3-5Edit

Season 3 Episode 5: Return (5)

As Agwen and Ran walk through Mistyshore, people can be overheard gossiping about Ran's change of heart about becoming a priest. Ran gets annoyed, but Agwen tells him to bear with and act more dignified.

At a vegan restaurant with Shess, Agwen relates what Shess told her about the fake Gandharva suras to Ran, and warns him that what she is about to say is considered heresy...but Ran admits that he already knows that the suras are from the Taraka clan, and besides, Chandra does not hide the fact. Ran reveals that the god has been ordering him to kill the suras.

At Rindhallow's Temple of Darkness, an older-looking Agni asks Chandra why he is unwilling to catch the suras himself, and wonders if he is afraid to be eaten. Chandra replies that he can never be too careful—if he is eaten, many human casualties will result, and he warns Agni to be careful himself. It would be bad if they, as summoned gods, were eaten, since the Tarakas could wreak havoc only until their summons ended. Chandra points out that a much greater problem would be if Gandharva, who is still in hiding, is eaten by them, since he is not in a summoned state. He tells Agni that they must find him first and eliminate him before he can be eaten.

Under the nighttime stars, a lone figure sits on a rocky hill with his head down and his arms resting on his knees. A woman holding a basket calls up to him, asking if he is going to keep sitting there until sunrise, and that they have enough mushrooms for dinner so they need to hget back before they get reprimanded by the chief. The figure, who is clearly Gandharva and who appears even younger now, simply replies in agreement.
