ā€œ Huia, you told me I'd understand when I was older that you wanted to protect both Sagara's dreams and her love, but I'm not sure I do, even now. ā€

– Riagara thinking about Vasuki [1]

Riagara is a rakshasa of the Ananta clan. She is part of Sagara's army, and arrives in the human realm in Season 1.

Appearance[]

In her human form, Riagara appears as a woman with light-grayish skin tone. She has long orange-brownish hair, very thin grayish eyebrows and red eyes with vertically-elongated (snake-like) pupils. She wears a high-soled full bodysuit, that has a thick brown neck-guard. The suit is colored brown at the outer sides of arms, body and legs and dark brown on the insides, and has a brown zipper-like line going down from the neck-guard at the front.

As a child, her appearance slightly differed from her adult form. She had much shorter hair that was tied in back. She appeared to be wearing a dark brown sports-shirt. Her hands were covered with a brown material which seemed to be a substitute for her skin, starting from the arms-down.

In her sura form, Riagara appears as a red and brown-scaled snake. She has long orange-brownish hair, red eyes, dark brown face area, and a large brown scale with a dark brown spiky outer layer covering her head.

Personality[]

Riagara appears to have a quiet personality. She keeps her calm when troubled by attempts to distract or taunt her. She is quick to act and independent in her decisions when the time calls for it, which is shown on many occasions. Riagara appears to be closer to Sagara than Pingara, and is also capable of manipulating others to get her way.

She is also one of the Ananta rakshasas who protect Sagara, since the other clan members (except for Vasuki) do not accept her as their king, and her role is to protect Sagara when Vasuki is not around. Her loyalty to Sagara is unwavering and she never questions her orders, because "Sagara is always right". Riagara can get upset if someone doubts or criticizes Sagara.

Skills and Abilities[]

1-73 Black Volcano
Black Volcano

Effect: is an earth, fire, and darkness-aligned transcendental skill that showers the targeted area with fireballs.

It is unlike ordinary fire transcendentals because of the poison it bears, damaging even enemies with resistance to certain properties.

Riagara is a strong and skilled fighter, even without her transcendental skills.

Notes[]

  • She spent most of her childhood in Taksaka's nest and was trained by him.[2]
  • Riagara is the strongest member of Sagara's army.[2]
  • Her nickname is Ria.
  • She bears a strong physical resemblance to Sagara, especially when she smiles. [3]
  • It is confirmed that Riagara is the daughter of Vasuki and Sagara in Episode 3-126, where Pingara claims that since Sagara would have no affection left for her former lover, Vasuki, their child, Riagara, would also be no better than a stranger to her.
  • In her third stage, Riagara has had many lovers, allegedly more than you could count on the fingers of both hands. However, she has not dated anyone since developing to fourth stage.[4]

Plot[]

History[]

1-51 Delighted Riagara

Happy to see Sagara

Riagara is the daughter of Sagara and Vasuki.[5] As a child, she spent much of her time living in Taksaka's nest in the sura realm along with Vasuki, who raised her, and Taksaka, who taught her how to fight.[6][2] She would visit her siblings and get excited when her mother would drop by.[6] Despite mostly having lived in the sura realm, Riagara visited the human realm several times, either with Vasuki[7] or with her siblings, concluding that it is not an enviable place to live in.[8]

Season 1[]

Chapter 6: The Past I Yearn For[]

1-39 Riagara's arms

Protecting Sagara

(4) Riagara crosses over to the Human realm through a gate opened by Kubera following the Ananta king Sagara. Immediately after crossing, she blocks Gandharva's slash attack on Sagara before the blow can hit. Pingara quickly joins them too, and Sagara, having the protection of the two rakshasas teases Gandharva ā€“who is there to cross over to the Sura realm to search for his daughter Shakuntala. Unexpectedly, Maruna arrives to defend Gandharva and threatens to eat all of them just like he already did with their clanmates in the area. Pingara helps the three of them escape when Maruna strikes them with a transcendental.

Hiding

Spying

(5) From a near mountain, concealed by Pingara's Hiding ability, the three of them observe how an enraged Gandharva confronts Kubera. Gandharva realizes that crossing over to the Sura realm through Kubera's gate will be impossible for him as Sagara's forces keep crossing over, and it is a one-way gate. Gandharva threatens to stop supporting Kubera, but the god calmly states that if Gandharva does not help him, he will not open more portals, and Gandharva's daughter will be lost. Gandharva backs down and agrees to attack Rindhallow once he cools his head a bit. He leaves, telling Kubera and Maruna not to look for him. After that, other suras ā€“including Clophe, Cloche, Hura, and Shessā€“ and the half Leny cross over through the gate.

Riagara reminds Sagara that they are not there for amusement as Sagara wonders which of their options will be more fun. Sagara chooses the safer option and states that they will seek Maruna's help once he is alone.

(6) Riagara, among many Ananta suras, stays in the shadows guarding Sagara during her conversation with Maruna. Sagara attempts to convince Maruna to help them attack Atera, since the target he failed to kill earlier would likely be there, but he refuses.[9]

Chapter 8: The Wavering King[]

1-51 Vasuki's family

2nd stage Riagara

(1) In a flashback to the Sura realm after Ananta's death, Riagara is delighted to see Sagara, who came to Taksaka's nest to visit Vasuki. Soon, Sagara leaves furious because Vasuki shifted to female form, and will live like that from now on.

Vasuki explains that he switched genders so that Sagara's current lover would become king. Vasuki has no delusions that Taksaka could understand, but when Riagara grows up, perhaps she might.

1-55 Sagara near Rindhallow

King Sagara

In the present day, Riagara still does not quite understand and reflects on how things have changed for Sagara, who is now king on her own, not the wife of a king. But it is only an empty title that she holds simply because Vasuki backs her. Suddenly, Riagara notices that Sagara smirks when learning that suras from the Gandharva clan attacked some of their Ananta clanmates.

(5) Riagara informs Sagara about Brilith Ruin, who has been the Priestess of Fire since a young age, and is a queen-like figure loved unconditionally by Atera citizens. Sagara feels irritated by Brilith's natural talent and accomplishments, something that surprises Riagara. Sagara states that Maruna has agreed to help them and orders Riagara to organize everything for the attack on Atera, which Sagara will personally join so that she could meet the Priestess. [10]

Chapter 10: The Night it Rained Fire[]

1-67 Hura's sura form

Hide behind me, scared snake!

(4) As they're waiting outside Atera, Riagara reprimands Cloche for being inconsiderate towards the Upanis by complaining about not possessing unique transcendental skills like Maruna does.

Next, Riagara explains to Pingara, Hura, Clophe, and Cloche that Sagara will secure the Priestess of Fire then send a signal for Maruna to break the barrier for all of them to enter the city. Riagara adds that Shess did not join them as he does not harm humans, and Maruna's role ends after he breaks the barrier because he is helping them against Gandharva's will.

Hura believes there are too many suras to attack such a weak city. Riagara tells Hura not to underestimate the city's magicians, and Hura accuses her of being scared of humans. Hura ignores Riagara's warnings, takes sura form and flies towards the city, only to get hit by turrets. As Hura is getting attacked by the turrets, Riagara takes the moment as an opportunity to teach Cloche the history and workings of the barrier system.

ā€œ Why don't you profess your jealousy for Nastika, too? There are Upanis here. It is no place for a Rakshasa to complain. ā€

– Riagara reprehends Cloche [11]

(7) Annoyed of getting hit by the turrets, Hura shifts back to human form and returns to the group. A blue blast of energy is seen in the sky, and Riagara states that Sagara has secured Brilith. Maruna launches an attack on the barrier, though it is restored right away.

1-71 Riagara begins to transform

Taking sura form

(8) The barrier endures a third attack, and Hura wonders why Sagara has not taken the priestess away from the barrier stone. Riagara wishes she were the one securing the priestess and not Sagara since the barrier stone room will have heavy physical protections surrounding it. And to break it, Sagara will need to take partial sura form, which she despises. Pingara reminds her that Sagara wanted to do it herself and there was no way to talk her out of it. Riagara does not comprehend Sagara's fixation with Brilith.

The barrier shatters after a fourth attack, and Riagara commands all the rakshasas to shift to sura form to assault the city.

(9) Riagara is with Pingara and Hura as they wreak havoc on Atera. To ensure that the person named Kubera does not flee the city, Riagara sends the upanis to surround it. However, the upanis are suddenly attacked by a half-dragon.

1-73 Vasuki, Riagara, and Taksaka

With dad and foster dad

(10) Riagara attacks Kasak with Black Volcano, which causes him no damage. She deduces that Kasak must be a half-dragon of at least one hundred years of age. Therefore, an equivalent of a fifth-stage rakshasa. Riagara alerts Pingara and Hura that Kasak will breathe fire on them, but Hura is too slow and loses one of their lives. After seeing that Kasakā€™s fire is invisible, Riagara recalls when Vasuki told her that half-dragons inherit their father's unique breath skill, which means he must be Taksaka's son. Riagara states that they will not fight Kasak as it is not in the Ananta clan's best interest. Riagara tells Hura to halt Kasak while she convinces Maruna to fight for them.

(11) Riagara approaches Maruna and asks him for help. Upon his refusal, she reveals that Kasak may have a clue about the whereabouts of Maruna's siblings. While Visnu and Kalavinka lived on this planet, Taksaka was asked to come. Taksaka got married and had a child, Kasak, who is likely to have been in contact with Visnu. Riagara is informed because she lived in Taksaka's nest. She tells Maruna that convincing Kasak to reveal more is up to him.

ā€œ Damn... I'm scared. Maybe it was rash of me to approach him alone. No, you can't let him scare you, Riagara. Calm down, keep your cool. If I appear weak, this could turn out badly for me. ā€

– Riagara when approaching Maruna [12]
1-77 Sagara and Riagara

At your service!

(14) Riagara and Pingara head to the Temple of Fire to support Sagara after Maruna takes Kasak out of the city. [13] Upon her arrival, Riagara reports the situation to Sagara, who congratulates her for the good job. Riagara is confused when Sagara orders to destroy the temple just to make the priestess crumble up in utter despair, but does as she was told.

Pingara protests about the troublesome task of physically crushing the temple. Pingara believes that the Kubera would more likely flee the city than take shelter inside the temple. He proposes to check the city's borders instead of pointlessly demolishing the temple. Annoyed, Riagara shuts Pingara up, stating that Sagara is always right and Sagara's orders should not be questioned.

1-78 Sagara and her rakshasas

We got this!

(15) Riagara and Pingara recognize the presence of god Agni and close their eyes to prevent Agni from using insight on them when Sagara calls them to her side. Sagara tells the rakshasas that they have an exceptional opportunity to kill the god as his summoner barely has vigor left and almost no lifespan to spare for Agni to use transcendentals. Out of the blue, a human arrives to deliver the Staff of Agni to the god, and Sagara orders them to retrieve it first. [14] (16) Both rakshasas hastily go after Lorraine, but they cannot break a multilayered-barrier that the magician made with hoti Brahma. Sagara orders retreat as victory is impossible. Agni then summons two fire snakes to chase them.

(16) Sagara orders Pingara and Riagara to withdraw with her when Lorraine manages to resist the rakshasas' attacks with hoti brahma.

Agni summons two fire snakes to chase after Sagara and them after they have escaped.

1-80 fire snakes hit Riagara

Rakshasa shield

(17) Riagara shields Sagara and Pingara from a new fire snakes attack. Both rakshasas are outraged with Agni for assaulting them with a transcendental that he copied from Vasuki. Riagara states that she will stay behind to stall Agni so Sagara and Pingara can escape. Sagara refuses as Riagara is not strong enough for the task, and she will undoubtedly die. Sagara decides to stall Agni herself and orders them to leave and find Clophe and Cloche.

ā€œ It makes me sick. The gods pretend to be so good, so just... and yet their true colors are filthy. ā€

– Riagara [12]

Chapter 11: The Power of the Name[]

1-85 speechless anantas

Judging Hura

(2) Riagara is discussing the results of the attack on Atera with the other Ananta rakshasas and Hura. [15] Riagara is surprised to hear that there were humans still alive in the Magic Guild and gets annoyed with Hura because Hura fled without eliminating them. Hura retorts that Riagara should not assign blame when she went with Sagara instead of checking for survivors herself. [16] Things get heated up between Riagara and Hura, and Pingara and Cloche try to calm them down.

Sagara arrives to inform them that they failed to kill the human named Kubera as god Kubera's power remains unchanged. Sagara apologizes for sabotaging the mission, and Riagara tries to comfort her by stating that everything is Maruna's fault since he failed to kill the Kubera in its initial location. [17]

Next, Hura wonders about Maruna, Shess, and Gandharva's whereabouts. Cloche answers that she has no idea about the other two, but Gandharva has submerged into the depths of the ocean. When Hura harshly criticizes Gandharva, Sagara tells them that he used to be a king deserving of her respect, but Menaka and Shakuntala ruined him. Sagara wonders if Gandharva is crazy enough to believe that his daughter still lives.

ā€œ You snakes. You're all so brainless when it comes to Sagara. Tell me, is she really worth so much devotion? ā€

– Hura to the Ananta rakshasas [18]

Season 2[]

Chapter 14: Blood[]

(4) In their base outside Rindhallow, Riagara, accompanied by Pingara, approaches Sagara to inform her that Cloche told Maruna about the plan to assault Kalibloom.[19] She apologizes and offers to go after Maruna and do her best to intercept him before reaching the city if Sagara so wishes.

Sagara shrugs it off, stating that Maruna was kept out for his own good per Gandharva's request anyway.[20] She orders Riagara to make further preparations.

Chapter 15: The Weapon of a God[]

(1) Gandharva has infiltrated Kalibloom with the task of breaking the Chaos barrier by killing its Priestess.[21] That barrier disrupts offensive transcendentals, and its elimination is necessary if Sagara and her forces are to break the Earth barrier and assault the city.

The Ananta clan suras gather outside the city, waiting for Gandharva to accomplish his task. Seeing that Sagara getting irritated by the long time he is taking, Riagara proposes to seek out Maruna's help. But Sagara orders her not to since Maruna cannot accomplish anything as long as the barrier stands. All they can do is wait.

Chapter 17: Reflection[]

(5) Sagara is tired of waiting for Gandharva to complete his mission. To calm her down, Riagara suggests that perhaps he is having difficulties because the Priestess of Chaos is stronger than they expected. Nevertheless, even in such a case, he should be powerful enough to kill her, so Sagara speculates that he must be waiting for the right moment.

2-31 will take a risk at the Temple of Chaos

Interested

Sagara also recognizes that the moment Gandharva reveals himself, the humans will band together against him, which would be problematic in his current weakened state. Regardless, Riagara feels that his delay is unreasonable, hence she brings up the possibility of Gandharva quitting on them. Sagara rejects her theory because it would mean for him to give up on Shakuntala, something he is incapable of doing.

Riagara is aware that they have their hands tied regarding this matter, yet it does not mean they cannot do anything in the meantime. Thus she shares that she recently learned that the Temple of Chaos is outside the Earth barrier, though the turrets of the Earth barrier remain active and in range. During the month of chaos, the temple's security system lessens to allow entry to the public for the Test of the Sword. Riagara states that if Sagara wishes, Riagara and Pingara could enter the temple in human form to investigate.

Sagara finds this amusing and decides to go herself.

Chapter 18: The Test of the Sword[]

2-37 messy upani blood

The crime scene

(4) The Ananta rakshasas and Hura investigate the deaths of three Ananta 5th-stage Upanis. Cloche touches the bloodstains to use a skill that allows her to witness the last moments of the deceased.

She shares that a sura with big wings ate the upanis. Riagara's instantaneous assumption is to blame Maruna, but Cloche debunks this idea as the culprit is someone mostly black. She then weeps and explains their clanmates were eaten alive. They were restricted from movement and forced to observe as the sura devoured them.

Riagara assumes the culprit did it to gain vigor but cannot comprehend why he did not kill them first since that is how suras primarily eat. On the contrary, Pingara thinks the reason must be something else since eating one Upani should have been enough. At that moment, Hura sympathizes with the culprit since the Asura clan suras devour their prey alive too. Irritated by this, Riagara and Pingara turn their suspicion to Hura since they match the criminal's description perfectly.

2-37 wasn't me

It wasn't me

Nervously, Hura denies eating allies, adding that it would be foolish to diminish the Ananta forces unless they were a spy. Riagara finds this hard to believe. After Clophe also confirms it was not Hura, Riagara suspects Kasak Rajof, but Pingara doubts the idea as dragons devour corpses. Running out of possible suspects, Cloche asks Riagara what they shall do regarding Sagara, who has gone to the city alone unaware of this situation.

Chapter 19: Rift[]

2-42 convincing Maruna to help

Asking for help

(2) Defying Sagara's order not to seek out Maruna's help, Riagara approaches him and informs him that there is an unforeseen enemy nearby who killed three 5th stage Upanis.[22] [23] Since Sagara went alone to the Temple of Chaos, Riagara is worried that she may be in danger. She asks Maruna to come get Sagara with her and suggests that this will give Maruna the opportunity to check up on Gandharva.

(4) As Maruna cannot see what is happening at the Temple of Chaos from the distance, Riagara proposes going to the temple together. But Maruna states that splitting up to find Sagara will be more efficient. He adds that she should use transcendentals to call on him if she is in danger. Riagara is reluctant to accept his plan and feels a bit offended by his arrogance, but agrees nevertheless.

2-46 backup

Just in time

(6) She leaves to look for Sagara in the biggest crowd and rapidly finds the nastika there in her male form. When a little boy throws a chain aiming at Sagara's neck, Riagara steps into the way and seizes it. After that, Sagara leaves straight away while Riagara stays behind to give him time to abandon the city unharmed.

Next, Riagara inquires if Yuta is responsible for eating the three upanis alive. With a mocking tone, he confirms it and asks what she would do about it. (7) Angrily, Riagara pulls on the chain and promises to pay back in kind. She keeps pulling and a loud crack is heard.

ā€œ You asked what I was going to do about it. I will pay back exactly in kind, little kid. ā€

– Riagara to Yuta [24]
2-47 blue eyes

Dangerous little boy

Riagara is overpowering Yuta with her close combat skills since she is unable to use transcendentals due to him nullifying them with his Taraka clan eyes. She throws her opponent to the floor, squeezes his head, and calls him a fool for picking a fight without properly evaluating his opponent's strength.

At that moment, Yuta reveals that when he faces someone he cannot defeat, he is unable to attack them as a result of his excitement. Since she does not makes him feel like that, a way for him to achieve victory exists. Riagara notices that his eyes have suddenly turned green and sensing danger, she quickly evades Yuta's weapon, the chain morphed into several projectiles that fall from the sky aiming at her back.

Then Yuta, holding his sword, now back in its original form, and having his Taraka eyes once again, proposes going outside the city so they can fight in sura form, and whoever wins gets to eat the loser. If she refuses, he will go after Sagara. Riagara warns him that she has reinforcements, yet this only pleases Yuta. (8) His gluttony is incomprehensible for her because he must still possess enough vigor after eating the Upanis. He reveals that unlike other rakshasas, he needs to hunt in order to survive, a fact for which he envies the others.

2-48 kidnapping

Improvised idea

Suddenly, Yuta's arrogant attitude changes to a nervous one, and his eyes turn grey. Riagara identifies that the reason is a scared Half standing among the crowd to whom he is mumbling an explanation. She speedily moves behind Elwin and seizes her. Recognizing the importance that a half who understands sura speech might have, Riagara decides to kidnap the little girl, ignoring Yuta's plea not to involve her in their conflict.

Riagara runs away from the temple and Yuta pursues her. Shortly after, Maruna flies up to take Riagara out of there.

ā€œ You need to learn to keep a straight face when you lie, little kid. ā€

– Riagara to Yuta [25]

(9) Maruna tells Riagara he already transported Sagara to safety, and he was just about to go get her. He asks about the half Riagara is carrying and wonders if someone was following her. When he fails to notice anyone, he flies off, carrying both Riagara and Elwin.

2-50 wonder about Alex

Going back to Rindhallow

(10) In the forest outside Kalibloom, Riagara approaches Sagara to inform her about what Elwin has revealed concerning Gandharva[26] but Sagara instructs her to do it on their way back to Rindhallow. All their forces will return there since the nastika wants to confront Kubera about a fight they had in the Temple of Chaos in which he drew the Sword of Return to fight her and protect Leez Haias. [27][28]

She explains that it is pointless for them to assault Kalibloom if Kubera dies soon. She also believes something is holding him back since he still lives despite speaking as if his death was near. Riagara thinks that if Sagara's reasoning is correct, Kubera might not cooperate with them anymore. Sagara then swears that if he abandons Ananta again, she will kill him.

Chapter 20: Grudge[]

2-051 Riagara blushing

Blushing at the praise

(1) Pingara in sura form transports Sagara, Hura, and the other Ananta rakshasas to Rindhallow. Once they ascertain that Kubera is not the owner of the Sword of Return, Sagara orders her forces to completely surround Kalibloom, asking Riagara to convince Maruna to provide more forces from the Yaksha and Garuda clans. She reassures Riagara that she can surely manage this demanding task as the competent follower that she is and warns her not to involve the Gandharva clan.

ā€œ How difficult can that be? You've done it twice already, Riagara. You know you're the most competent follower I have. ā€

– Sagara praising Riagara [29]

(3) Riagara arrives with Maruna when Elwin is asking him why they would hurt the innocent people of Kalibloom. Annoyed by this, she suggests to kill the half since they already have the information they need. Letting Elwin go would be risky, and keeping her guarded is bothersome. Maruna says that since he is the one doing the watching, what happens to Elwin is his business. To his question of why she has come, Riagara responds she is there to ask for his help with attacking Kalibloom.

2-57 riagara

Do it for Gandharva

(7) Riagara explains to Maruna his task on the assault. Once the stars in the sky appear, it will mean that the Chaos barrier is down, and that is when he needs to use his transcendentals to break the Earth barrier. She adds that he should regard this as making up for the work Gandharva did not do.

Sagara and Pingara went to confront Teo Rakan whom Gandharva was attempting to lead out of the chaos barrier. Pingara was struggling while facing Teo Rakan in his human form, at which point Riagara comes to their aid. Riagara immediately attacks Teo with a kick and sends her flying. She apologizes to Sagara for her lateness and explains that Cloche, who had gone to the Temple of Earth to retrieve Kubera's items, told her about the new plan. The nastika orders Riagara to quickly eliminate the priestess before Teo annoys her even more.

2-057 Riagara vs Teo Rakan

Hitting Teo

Teo dodges Riagara and pierces the rakshasa's right arm. Angered, Riagara knocks Teo down to the ground, causing her to drop her sword. Teo tries to grasp the sword, but Pingara steps on her arm and throws away the sword with his tail. Teo is at their mercy. Suddenly Gandharva screams for them to stop, and they temporarily pause. He runs toward them to save Teo. Undisturbed, Sagara hastily stabs the priestess in the neck with Teo's own sword, and she reprimands the rakshasas for having listened to Gandharva's command.

Teo's blood stains the ground, and Gandharva's scream of pain resounds through the forest.

Chapter 21: Frozen Tears[]

(3) Gandharva holds Teo's corpse in his arms. To further break him down and to trigger him into attacking the city on his own, Sagara tells him that she did not lie when she spoke of his daughter's death during their first encounter in the Human realm.[30]

2-060 What in the world

Shocked Sagara

Riagara, Pingara, and Sagara move away from Gandharva's position. A fierce wind goes through the forest, and Pingara asks if they are far enough from him should he come after them. Sagara dismisses this idea because when Gandharva goes on a rampage, he is not in a state to identify his targets. All they need to do is stay out of his way.

Pingara is not convinced since he perceives there is something odd going on. He asks if Gandharva truly cannot take sura form, and Sagara resolutely denies it, but she is left open-mouthed when unexpectedly Gandharva does just that. She is confused about how it is even possible.

(10) Gandharva physically breaks the Earth barrier and immediately tries to flood Kalibloom. Agni arrives to evaporate all the water before that happens and re-establishes the barrier. Sagara thinks that Gandharva should have been able to prevent Agni from doing that. She theorizes that Gandharva has suffered permanent damage due to his forbidden transformation.

2-067 Sagara observing Frozen Tear

Frozen Tear

They see blue beams, and Sagara wonders why Gandharva can now use his unique transcendental Frozen Tear. To her knowledge, that is one of the skills sealed by Taraka. Sagara warns Riagara that they should avoid getting hit by that attack because apart from the physical damage, you also get caught in a mental transcendental. However, this type of attack is useless against a fifth-zen god since they are immune. For Gandharva to attack Agni with this power, it must mean that he is completely insane or is rational, but with a death wish.

Chapter 22: The One Standing Before Me[]

(8) Riagara and Pingara escort Sagara to the Temple of Earth right after Agni departs from the city, leaving it without a barrier.(11)

As soon as Cloche and Clophe return to Sagara and present a little box containing Kubera's God-level items, the nastika orders that they withdraw since they have accomplished their objective of assaulting Kalibloom.

Suddenly, they witness Kasak Rajof's arrival at the temple. Riagara proposes that Sagara should escape while the rest of them stall Kasak. She thinks that Maruna might not come to their aid since he is probably fighting outside the city, judging from the fact that the sky was red over there. However, Sagara has a better idea that will allow them to flee.

2-079 Sagara holding Riagara

Parent-child moment

(9) All of them are sneaking out of the temple in human form while avoiding being spotted by Kasak. Sagara is speaking of how it is better not to engage in avoidable fights, when they notice that a third-stage Yuta awaits them.

Yuta stares at them with his Taraka clan eyes and declares that this time Sagara will not escape.[31] Riagara and Clophe promptly try to attack Yuta, but they are too slow for him. Yuta beheads them with his tail without killing them because he wants to eat them alive later.

The suras manage to flee thanks to Kasak attacking Yuta. Sagara cradles an unconscious Riagara in his lap.

2-80 recovering from their wounds

Depressed rakshasas

(10) Sagara and her allies reassemble outside Kalibloom. Hura heals the injured rakshasas and is curious about what happened to them. No one answers. They all look depressed, even Sagara. Cloche glances at Maruna before lying that they were ambushed by the Half-dragon. She then asks Maruna what he was up to because they saw the sky turn red. Maruna claims the humans provoked him into a fight.

Sagara finally speaks to criticize Maruna for his null contribution to the attack and denies knowing Gandharva's whereabouts ā€“who has disappeared without a trace. She then encourages the Ananta rakshasas to cheer up because, after retrieving Kubera's God-level items, there is only one more target before accomplishing their end goal.

Chapter 26: Outsider[]

2-105 Cloche and Clophe

They don't want to be eaten

(5) In their base outside Rindhallow, Riagara and the other rakshasas hear that someone is eating an Ananta clan sura nearby. They assume Maruna is eating for the second day in a row to gain vigor. Cloche hopes the reinforcement that is coming does not eat as much as Maruna. She fears they might be eaten before accomplishing their objective. Riagara shares that Sagara is calling someone who does not require to eat to restore vigor.

Chapter 27: Last Resort[]

(3) Riagara, alongside the rest, observes Samphati ā€“a 5th stage rakshasa from the Garuda clanā€“ as she crosses over to the Human realm through a gate Kubera opened.[32]

Chapter 28: Emergency[]

2-115 Samphati bows to Sagara

Showing respect

(3) Riagara is with Pingara, Cloche, and Hura in the Aurora forest outside Rindhallow. They talk about Samphati. About how impressed they were with her respectfulness toward Sagara despite being stronger than Maruna. Samphati even bowed to the nastika.

Hura has not seen Kubera since Samphati's arrival and wonders where he might be. Pingara responds that he is resting; he has not looked well for a few days now. Hura is fascinated by the fact that Pingara can read Kubera's expressionless face.

Cloche asks what they should do while Samphati is out doing the task Sagara gave her, which entails killing Yuta. Considering they cannot attack Rindhallow until the barriers are broken, Pingara thinks they should test how dangerous the turrets are. Riagara tells Hura to do as Pingara said. Unlike them, Hura can afford to die multiple times. Hura complains and calls them heartless.

(2)Sagara and her group gather to discuss the plan to assault Rindhallow. The city itself is not much of a threat for them, but others may get in the way, the worst being Agni. Sagara decides to fight against the god herself because she is the only one immune to his insight. Cloche and Riagara freak out. Riagara tries to talk Sagara out of it by suggesting that she will find a way to persuade Shess since insight does not work on him either. Sagara declines because it would be a waste of time.

She next performs a demonstration of one of her now restored transcendentals by shooting a big purple blast against a mountain. She explains that somehow Taraka died, allowing Sagara to regain some useful skills which she can use to stall Agni. Nevertheless, the same would be true for Gandharva, who is a wild card.

Chapter 31: Your Justice and Mine[]

(16) Riagara, Pingara, Cloche, Clophe, and Hura hold a meeting about the upcoming battle. Rindhallow has overlapped barriers with Aeroplateau while they were delaying the attack due to Kubera's weak state. Cloche expresses suspicions concerning the god. She thinks he might have delayed them on purpose. Riagara immediately shuts her up. Pingara has his head down, looking uncomfortable, but does not speak up.

Samphati and Maruna

Cloche sets aside her doubts since she will follow Sagara no matter what but she wishes for all of them to survive. Samphati and Maruna fly in and comfort them that the Anantas will not be taking part in the attack. They are to protect Kubera in the back, and only non-Anantas will fight. This excludes Sagara, who will be required to face Agni as she is the only one resistant to his insight.

Riagara and Cloche insist on accompanying Sagara, but Samphati reminds them about how they would be useless with their earth attribute nullified near Aeroplateau. The rakshasas grudgingly accept, and Samphati commands Maruna to come with her. Before leaving, Maruna picks Hura up, and flies off.

Cloche is concerned, because unlike them, the Garudas will not protect Sagara with their own life. Riagara looks shocked.

(26) The Ananta rakshasas are at the summoning place protecting Kubera, as per Sagara's order. Noticing that Samphati has stopped attacking the cities, Maruna and Hura go to that place to see if she is there. Riagara and Cloche inform Maruna that she has not returned yet, which disconcerts him because they have achieved their goal. A person named "Kubera" has died and a pillar of light has appeared there.[33] [34]

The two Ananta rakshasas are more worried about the fact that Sagara is not back yet either. Maruna assures them that Sagara is sure to return unharmed because, in her cowardice, she is using his little brother as a shield. He leaves alone.

(29) The Ananta rakshasas and Hura see a powerful attack aimed at Maruna coming from the cities. Hura wonders if they should go helping him. However, Riagara thinks it would be good if he got himself killed since they will soon return to being enemies.

Pingara states that since the preparations are complete, they are ready to initiate Ananta's resurrection. He hopes they do not regret what is coming.

Chapter 32: Loser[]

(5) To ensure he stays out of the way, Yuta is held under a mental transcendental by Sagara and Samphati. Sagara has arrived to the summoning place.

Kubera stands at the center of the bottom of an ice mountain surrounded by suras of the Ananta clan. The Anantas notice that the pillar of light has vanished, accompanied by the disappearance of the golden light around the god, even though it is still night. Sagara worries he might be too weak to continue performing the summoning. To confirm if there is a problem, she urges him to take off his helmet to see if his hair color has changed too.

Everything is under control

Cloche suggests that the mental transcendental Yuta was caught in might have been released by Samphati. Riagara adds that Sagara should not put so much trust in the Garuda. Unconcerned, Sagara claims that her mental transcendental is still working, and Samphati has no reason to turn against them because she has yet to gain something from their alliance.

Suddenly, a girl with the Sword of Return in hand enters from the passage located behind the god. Leez attacks Kubera, and Riagara questions if they should get down to help him. But Sagara believes it is more prudent if he handles the threat on his own because they cannot use their transcendentals and things could go wrong.

After exchanging some blows, Kubera knocks out Leez.[35] After that, his golden light resumes, and he creates a golden vortex of lightning that rises to the sky.

(7) Cloche notices that Clophe and Hura are missing and leaves to search for her brother.

At the top of the vortex, a gate opens, and Ananta's golden scales fill the sky. However, the vortex and Kubera's golden light fizzle out again in a flash. A human teleports next to Leez and takes her out of there.

The Ananta clan and Kubera

(8) Sagara is unsettled because, under the excuse that the humans were there randomly, Kubera allowed them to escape, despite Sagara wanting him to kill Asha. She inquires if he is plotting something.

The god brings up that Sagara has distrusted him since the beginning of their journey. Even if her suspicions are correct, he asks if she wishes to stop now. He warns that once they go forward with the resurrection, there is no turning back. Nervously, Sagara orders him to continue.

She still wonders what his scheme must be, but concludes that if he desires to atone for his sins, he must sacrifice himself for Ananta and not betray him again. Pingara looks troubled but does not speak his mind and Riagara has complete trust in what Sagara is doing.

(9) Asha returns, driving a car. Sagara is surprised because everything was supposed to be over, and she should have won with there being no one capable of closing the portal. Sagara is aware of Asha's identity and goals. She taunts her for all the work she did as part of her selfish desires for power, which ultimately only helped the suras.

2-173 Hoti Visnu

Hoti Visnu

Sagara calls Asha an idiot for believing that a mere human could hold Ananta's power. Besides, since Kubera has ceased to exist, Asha has lost the opportunity to obtain that power. Asha, who had remained quietly listening, declares she will then cause a delay until she can acquire that power and casts Hoti Visnu at the same time that a bomb located in the car explodes.

The summoning has failed and everyone present at the summoning ground has disappeared from existence and memory for the following seven years.

Protecting Sagara

(4) Riagara wakes up after her time spent in nonexistence. She is told that she is the last to wake up and introduced to Sagara's newly gathered forces. Upon asking, she is assured that Clophe, Cloche, and Hura are also alright, because they were not present at the time of the explosion. Sagara explains that they are waiting on the spot in case the human who caused this appears, so that they can kill her. When Riagara worries what would happen if the gods were to come attack them, Sagara reveals that they are now allied with Taraka, and thus have nothing to fear.

Together 7 years later

(10) Riagara is still concerned about Taraka roaming around, so Sagara says she will talk to it and leaves. Riagara tells Pingara that she is having a hard time getting used to having Taraka, who helped kill Ananta, as an ally. Pingara states that she was being used by the gods at the time. Riagara then mentions that her son attacked them in Kalibloom and even chewed up Pingara. Pingara points out that she is questioning Sagara now, when before she would follow her blindly, but now they have no choice. In the distance, Sagara announces that they no longer have to guard this location, since the human has returned and started to take action, though a frightful sight.

(2) Sagara, standing next to Taraka, announces that they are ready to start and use their first pawn, a powerful card that can cause havoc within the city. Riagara is surprised that there is already someone on the inside, and Sagara asks if she remembers when Agni suddenly left for Atera seven years ago. Riagara vaguely recalls that his summoner was in some sort of danger, and Sagara asks her who she thinks put her in danger, and that it was someone already in Atera, sponsored by a high-ranking magician, and not worried about being discovered through insight.

(8) After Brilith Ruin is temporarily incapacitated because of an encounter with Ran Sairofe, Riagara worries what Sagara would do if Brilith recovers her vigor and Agni will be free to act again. Sagara tells her not to worry because the human who is a frightful sight has gone to Mistyshore and will take care of it for them.

(4) Riagara, Pingara, Cloche and Hura are tasked with attacking Kalibloom. As Kasak Rajof takes sura form to protect the city, Hura draws all his attacks to himself. (5) Just as Kasak is about to deal another killing blow to Hura, his transcendental fades and his form shrinks as Taraka arrives in the city with her eyes open. Taraka and Kasak engage in combat.

(6) Riagara observes that Kasak's size has shrunk since Taraka appeared, and wonders if he copied a nastika's transcendental. Pingara concludes that he must have been using an item made by Brahma. Pingara explains that this was among the possibilities that Sagara had considered. Riagara wonders how come she is the only one who did not learn anything in those seven years, to which Pingara responds that it is because Riagara is the daughter of a former lover, who Sagara no longer has affection for. Pingara mocks Riagara's devotion to Sagara, to which Riagara replies that even if it is one-sided, anything that helps Sagara is enough for her.

(15) Meanwhile, Gandharva and Shess join Kasak in the fight and a giant Taraka sura weapon appears and paralyzes Shess. Taraka suddenly attacks the sura weapon.

Riagara, Pingara, Cloche and Hura search for the portal back to Sagara but cannot find it. They assume Chatan, one of the two who are capable of opening the portal, must have received a new task. But the other person, Taraka, is right before them. Riagara deduces that Taraka must have betrayed them.

(22) As Taraka battles the huge Taraka sura weapon, the group of suras observes that the barrier of Earth is cracking. As they discuss whether they should try to sneak into the city, Chatan teleports before them, without Sagara and missing one arm. The group questions him about this, but he does not answer.

Chatan recommends that Hura and Pingara take care to carefully conceal themselves. Just when the group is questioning who could possibly see them, Taksaka appears hovering in the air nearby. The group freezes, Chatan steps in front of them and warns them not to let their guard down because Taksaka may be able to spot them.

(23) Taksaka locks eyes with Riagara, which makes her think back to the time she spent in his nest. Finally, Taksaka turns and leaves. Hura boasts that Taksaka could not see through their cloaking skills. Riagara doubts this and, along with Pingara, asks to get teleported to where Sagara is.

(29) Riagara and Pingara exit Chatan's teleport and find themselves hidden in Chatan's detached arm inside the temple in Mistyshore. They can see Sagara from there.

(30) The two of them observe as Sagara attempts to convince Brilith Ruin and Agni to turn a blind eye to her plans. Just as Sagara turns to leave, Brilith fires up her weapon and attacks.

Riagara starts to leap out from her hiding place with the goal to protect Sagara, but Pingara stops her and goes instead. Pingara takes sura form and takes the brunt of Brilith's attack. He asks Riagara not to throw around her body so recklessly and then asks Sagara to cherish her cards more. Meanwhile, Sagara grabs Riagara and they both escape. Sagara has tears in her eyes.

When Sagara and Riagara step out of the portal, joining the group waiting near Kalibloom, Sagara tells Chatan to close the portal. She looks around, noticing that both the soul candidate and the godly items have been secured. She asks about Clophe, Hura breaks off Cloche's attempt to answer and asks about Pingara. Sagara tells them that Pingara would not be coming back. In disbelief, Cloche asks Riagara for an explanation.

Chapter 49: The Golden Knight[]

(4) Riagara is on probation for ignoring Sagara's orders and bringing about what befell Pingara.

News - The clo family

The "clo" family

In D875, Riagara and Pingara - both in 3rd stage - visit Cloche and Clophe at their home in the human realm. Pingara is in awe of the lovely environment, though Riagara questions the practicality of such a home. They get introduced to Chloe, Clophe's and Cloche's upani half-brother who has been taking care of his siblings and helping them develop. Riagara teases Cloche, who is already at fourth stage, why she does not have children already. Cloche believes taking care of her second stage twin brother is work enough.

The experience turns sour when a nastika commits suicide and takes the whole galaxy with them. The suras are forced to evacuate and many upanis die when prioritizing aiding the rakshasas. At this time, Clophe develops, though he never explains how, and it is also the one single time when he spoke to Riagara, asking her to go help the other children rather than him. It was implied that Chloe never returned.

News - Father and daughter

Playing with Vasuki

Riagara writes a letter retelling these happenings to Vasuki, where she states that she does not envy those who live in the human realm and believes that only those who never experienced such catastrophe may actually like it. She also expresses gratitude that Vasuki kept her by her side when she was little, since it is rare for a nastika parent to care about their offspring. She promises to return once she helps the shaken suras recover.
