Indra is the God of the Sky, and a Fifth Zen god. The primeval gods appointed him King of the Astikas. He has yet to appear in the current storyline.

AppearanceEdit

In The Finite, he is described as man with bluish-silver hair, with his eyes covered by a dark blindfold.

PersonalityEdit

2-55 Varuna, Indra, and Kubera

Varuna, Indra, and Kubera

Manasvin describes him (along with Kubera and Varuna) as a hypocrite who would resort to anything in order to kill a nastika, and then gloat about the triumph of justice.[1]

Skills and AbilitiesEdit

His powers are available to humans as hoti indra (lightning attack) and bhavati indra (mass lightning attack) spells.

His known god-class items include a set of vajras (dagger- or club-like items symbolic of thunderbolts and diamonds). One came into Asha Rahiro's possession during the attack on Kalibloom; it specializes in hoti indra spells using silent magic.[2]

NotesEdit

  • Indra is the 2nd-most popular god, behind Visnu. He was considered a benevolent god before the Cataclysm, but since the separation of realms at that time, he has never answered a summons.[3]
  • In Hindu mythology, Indra is the leader of the Devas (benevolent deities), and is the god of rain and thunderstorms. He carries a thunderbolt called a vajra, and rides a white elephant named Airavata.

SynopsisEdit

nastikas v. astikas

Indra has yet to make an active appearance in the webtoon.

When Asha gave Ran an introductory explanation of the Power of the Name, she described the first recipients of names, the nastikas (parent-less suras) and the astikas (gods).[4] In the accompanying image (right), Indra faces Ananta (leader v. leader).

In The Finite, he and Yama are doing their paperwork in Hell, complaining that Agni is of no help.
